About the Planning Commission

Long-term Vision for La Pine’s Future

The mayor, City Council, and other City departments rely on the Planning Commission for expertise regarding broad goals and policies for the physical development of the city. This commission oversees and reviews La Pine’s Comprehensive Plan for land use development over the long term—up to 20 years in the future. It also investigates specific issues related to livability in La Pine, such as housing needs, emergency services, agriculture, forestry, recreation, public facilities, conservation, and more.

The Planning Commission handles special permit requests and makes recommendations on zoning, ordinances, abandonment, annexation, and subdivision matters. Contact the Planning Commission at (541) 536-1432 or info@lapineoregon.gov
