Building Business Together

We work to create a healthy business environment, support a welcoming community atmosphere and encourage capital investment within the community to promote growth and sustainability. The City of La Pine understands that communities and states can no longer expect quality of life and incentives alone to win projects. The City of La Pine strives to be a dynamic and responsive community that can address real issues in modern site selection.

La Pine partners with the private non-profit Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) to encourage economic development in South Deschutes County. EDCO’s mission is to Move, Start, and Grow traded sector businesses to purposefully create a thriving and diverse economy. This effort is further supported at the local level by the Sunriver La Pine Economic Development Board (SLED) that works directly with the City of La Pine in the development of long range economic development strategies. Some of the ways EDCO and the City of La Pine can offer assistance are:

  • Workforce Development and Workplace Efficiency
  • Site Selection
  • Tax and Land Incentives
  • Business Financing
  • Business Intelligence
  • Linking Local Stable of Experts to Local Businesses
  • A to Z Problem Solving
