0322 NE Wildfire 06.26.25
The City is aware of a new wildfire (now 1.4 acres as of 6:10 p.m.) that was initiated at 2:45 p.m.on Thursday June 26, 2025 east of city limits. This fire is currently east of Darlene Rd. moving towards Newberry Estates. As of this time Darlene Rd. is closed at Rosland Rd. and Reed. Rd. The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office has been deployed, as has US Forest Service fire response. Air support was dispatched and has now left the area as ground crews feel confident that the fire is is now being contained, and expect to work the remnants of the event throughout the evening. A Level 1 evacuation notice has been issued and is still currently in place.
Level 1: Means “BE READY“ for potential evacuation. Residents should be aware of the danger that exists in their area, monitor emergency services websites and local media outlets for information. This is the time for preparation and precautionary movements of persons with special needs, mobile property and (under certain circumstances) pets and livestock. If conditions worsen, emergency services personnel may contact you via an emergency notification system. This information will be updated as soon as more becomes available.
