Snow and Ice Removal and Prohibited Parking
The City has recently posted removal notices (January 8, 2024) on vehicles within public right of way that constitute a hazard to vehicular traffic, the safe operation of school buses, and the safe movement of emergency vehicles, and which inhibit snow and ice removal operations expected to take place on January 9, 2024. These vehicles are in right of way intended to serve as snow storage for these operations.
Under Ordinance 2016-11, whenever there is accumulation of snow that reaches four inches (4") or more, parking is prohibited on snow routes, except as allowed under ORS 811.560, as amended. The City expects a significant snow event to take place between the time of notice and 12 pm January 9, 2024.
These notices provide 24 hour notice of the intended action.
